Thinking of submitting an application on your own?   READ THIS FIRST

  • The application requirements are very strict. Failure to meet the requirements exactly will get your application disqualified.

  • In previous years over 40% of all applications sent were disqualified (the State Department no longer publishes numbers of disqualified applications).

  • Unlike USGCLS, the State Department web site does not check the content of what you submit, only that you submit the type of information required. For example, if you try to submit this photo of a cat (!), the State Department web site will accept it and let you proceed with the application, as long as it is 600 pixels by 600 pixels and less than 240 kilobytes.

Don't believe us? Try it yourself.

  • From our own experience, over 35% of all photos we check do not meet the requirements, even though they would be accepted without any notice from the State Department web site (of course we let you know if there is a problem and help you fix it).

  • The State Department will not tell you if there is an error on your application, so long as you submit all of the required information. You will receive a confirmation number, but your application will be disqualified later. This means that you will never know if there is a problem with your application, and you will keep on making the same mistake over and over year after year, each year your application will be disqualified and you will lose your chance, and you will never even know about it!

If after all this you still want to take your chances and do it on your own, we wish you the best of luck.

If however you want to benefit from the knowledge of experts who have been doing this for over 15 years, and would like us to review your application and help you to ensure that your application is entered in the lottery, start your registration now.
